How Do Trout Eat Their Prey, Do Trout Really Pluck Or Nip At Flies?

How do trout eat their prey, do Trout really pluck or nip at flies?: " I contend that they do not use one method of feeding, and while it may be true that trout mostly engulf their prey, there are times when they bite and grasp, before swallowing, especially in lakes."

I think most of the time, they just laugh at them, just like our spinners!

How many times have you had a "bite" on Power Bait, only to have a bare hook reeled in. I swear there are times that trout will bite on the bait to separate it from the hook and then grab the bait.
